Social justice values are at the heart of our organization. We pledge to honor our commitment to the safety and well-being of communities we serve by building bridges and connecting resources that promote dignity and belonging. This is a time for solidarity.
Racism is a public health issue that we must work together to systematically eliminate. Severe inequality undermines the healthy development of children and youth and erodes the spirit of reciprocity, mutual responsibility, and common purpose that are vital to a healthy, nurturing and functional society.
As an organization dedicated to improving the well-being of our community’s children, My New Red Shoes believes it is important to help children build empathy. As a starting point, we have curated online resources to help parents and caring adults talk to children about tolerance, racial bias, and current events.
My New Red Shoes stands with civic leaders to advance inclusive environments, respectful of people of all backgrounds and experiences. Please join us in building a stronger, healthier, and more equal community for all of our children.
